Describing Activities in Japanese
Japanese-LanguageIntroduction
When you want to describe a sequence of events or actions, you use the te-form to create a sentence.
The sentence structure looks as follows:
I did this..., (then I did that..., and) then I did that.
Example:
私は、ロンドンに行って、(買い物をして、)昼ご飯を食べました。
I went to London, did some shopping, and have lunch.
The te-form functions as "and" in a sentence.
... and ... and ...
Present tense:
て(で)、て(で)、します。
Past tense:
て(で)、て(で)、しました。
It is also good to mention you cannot join verbs by using と which is only used for joining nouns.
